My eyes ALWAYS water. My shadow always runs. Even MAC. This is amazing!! A light coat and let it dry and it is exactly like primer for your eyes! They shadow sticks and looks amazing!! LOVE IT!

The paste does not hold up for more than 6-8hr but, over all is worth it.
This works the best underneath pigments to really set the pigments in place. The product is a bit oily and tacky so a small amount goes a long way and the jar lasts forever! It also helps prevent creasing. I don't use it as much anymore because the quality of the eye shadow really determines the need for a primer. Concealers or foundations can be just as effective.

Better as a concealer

Nice and light texture, easy to apply but you have to make sure you use only a little. I cannot say it prevents creasing. I even think my eye shadow looks better without this product. The good thing it does: neutralizes your lid color, conceals.

Needs to have lighter and darker shades. Very "cakey." Does not apply smoothly. I do not think it improves quality or longevity of eye shadows.

Highly creasing itself, not recommending

hello I tried this for my eyelid and my sister's
mine is oily and it did not really help. the texture seems to be oily itself
then i tried on sister's lids and it is dry - what is does is it is caking, it makes all the wrinkles visible badly because of described above
the only thing i can say that it gives nude colour to the skin so i found the way to use it: i use it to define my eyebrows, and to conceal my dark circles: they are not too bad so this pre prime eye is enough for me
Honestly, this product does the job, but it's not the best. Painterly paint pot is far the best primer in my opinion and if you are going to spend the money, i'd go with painterly and not this product.

I did use this for a while and couldn't tell if it was really doing what it was supposed to until I purchased the painterly paint pot. It is okay! Id much rather use the paint pot any day..

I LOVED IT!I was hesitant about getting this product based on the reviews that I read. But I believe you have to try things for yourself. And it paid off!!! Got what I expected. No creasing at all which is what I was looking for

settles into creases

I bought it thinking it would be the best eye shadow primer ever but it totally creased underneath my eyes and it was just an alright base. I think other brands are more suited but this.

Sorry MAC, this is one product I don't recommend to others... I find that it creases really easily, and I don't have that problem with the Urban Decay primer. I tried to love it, but just didn't work for me.
This primer is also great for to use as for light concealer coverage. Especially good for oily skin under the eyes since it won't slip off and not greasy at all. No caking either. Apply before foundation.

Bring back the Paint Pot!

This stuff pales in comparison to the paint pot. I was very disappointed to find out that this is the only M.A.C. primer available and I will be searching other brands for a replacement. I have used this for two weeks now and I might as well not be wearing eye primer. By the end of just 8 hours of work, there's a gross crease. In fact, I have to apply it and then immediately put shadow over it, or it will crease. Very inconvenient. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Did not extend eye makeup wear and DEFINITELY DID NOTHING TO HELP WITH CREASING
This product is fantastic to use prior to putting on your eye shadow. It really helps your eye shadow stay on and not crease. Your eye shadow also glides on easier after using Prep and Prime Eye. This is a must have in my make up case.

I love this primer! I have mine in Light and it works great! It keeps my eyeshadow on all day and I was really happy I purchased this. I will definitely be purchasing this item again when I run out!

very disappointed
Date:July 14, 2011
I bought two of these abroad as mac cosmetics is very overpriced in my home country. I wanted one for my home make up bag and one of the travel one. Anyway, I have tested it a few times so far and it actually seems to me that the eye shadows crease more if I use the primer. I will probably bin it. The mac foundation for dry skin is good but this product is not.

the best product that i have been using since last two years it acts both as a concealor and keeps my shades and liner in place for long hours.. the only problem is that my shades creases after like 4 n half hour or so ..but over all i just love it ....
