I have combination skin that gets super shiny within 30 mins of washing. I use this under makeup and it keeps the shine down, but also improves the look of my skin. There's something in it that reflects light so it makes my skin look less shiny but more all over luminous at the same time. And it has a completely non-greasy texture so it feels good when I put it on. I also have large pores, and it seems to minimize the look of them. I definitely like this product!

Went to MAC because I was looking for makeup for my wedding. Being a little difficult skin-tone wise and having my best friend tell me that MAC is the best brand ever, I decided to give it a go. I didn't regret it.
This product was given to me to even out my skin and prepare it for foundation and what not. The feeling of this on my skin was so good, I continued to use it after my wedding, just on my skin! Smooth, radiant skin that felt soft to touch and looked so divine! Foundation went on like a charm and stayed there throughout the wedding and into the night. Layered oil control underneath this to combat my combination oily skin on that summer's day. It was perfect!
Now, thanks to my sister, I have to go and buy another one... =)

I recommend doing one side of your face with and without this primer to see a difference...the results are clear. Love the softness of this product, it fills in pores perfectly. I use this under my face and body foundation.

This is probably by far the best moisturizer/primer I have purchased. It is the perfect consistency and goes on so smooth. It leaves your face feeling like satin. I use it everyday underneath my make-up to help with breakouts and provide my face with the extra hydration it needs as it provides a barrier between my face and my foundation. Perfect for everyday use, special events, and those days when you need extra coverage.

I had never used a primer before until this one and now its one of my favorite products and won't put my make-up on with out it. It last a while, but its hard to tell when the bottle is getting empty.

I don't know what I would do without this product. I love how my foundation goes on so smooth and light after applying the primer. Definitely a must have!

I have tried other brands of primer and this one is perfect. It is non-oily, non-greasy and makes your foundation glide on like butter. I have really red cheeks and this helps the foundation stay on to keep me covered at work for 12-13 hours. I wish I would have bought this years ago

May be too greasy for oily faces

I must have a primer for my face and switched to MAC...it goes on smoothly and love the sparkles in it which gave me a glow but this left my face too greasy by the end of the day...so much so that even my eyeshadow would crease which was all but gone with the pain pot.
Will continue to use it through out winter but I need something less greasy for the upcoming summer!!

This really didn't do anything to "calm" my skin. I still had redness after using it for a few weeks. It may help your make-up glide on more smoothly, but it doesn't really do anything as far as filling in any fine lines and pores to prep your skin for makeup.

When I was trying on different foundations yesterday to find the right shade for me, my artist used this primer on my face and it was just so smooth and silky and calmed the shine I usually get on my nose area! So I told her I wanted it lol; It's pricey but I will say little goes a long way and I love this product! It works really good.

I have very oily acne prone skin with a lot of acne "pot holes" and this works great! It's smooth and not oily or a creamy feeling on your face. It helps to control my oily skin and helps my liquid studio fix go on even smoother!

Its alright to blot away excess oil but ..

its true that it helps your foundations last longer because it blots the excess oil but it thickens and drys so fast that it doesn't improve the application of the foundation at least when you are using studio tech or sculpt, it actually makes it harder and makes your brush drag meaning you wont have a smooth application of the foundation when you use this product.

I have been using this is the morning underneath my foundation, and it really helps lengthen the wear of it (mineralize spf 15 compact). I work 10 hour days and I don't what I did in the past without it!

If you have dry patches/flakiness- Make sure to exfoliate. This primer does contain minimal shimmer particles similar to the type you see on the box when you purchase it (eventhough barely noticeable in the product and face). But the particles can catch on a bit to patchy/flakey areas- but it is moisturizing and a smooth base for foundation and powder! HOWEVER- I don't find it very oil controlling. I'm looking into the Prep+Prime Natural Radiance Primer soon!

- the first time i used a primer, it was a free sample from sephora (dont remember the brand) that my sister had.. it was silky, silicone and filled in the tiny imperfections that set my face for foundation perfection...
- being that mac has very high quality products, i expected the same, but better.. this product disappoints, especially for the price.. i bought it online, so i didnt get to try it out in person.. honestly, i was too lazy to return it.. it's not a bad product, i do like it..
- it doesnt quite "fill in" like the other primer did, well.. mildly.. it does however help to keep my studiofix in place all day at work for 9 hours without having me retouch it.. even with my nose that gets oily-ish by the end of the day.. i never have to touch up.
- a little goes a long way. one pump is too much.. it shouldnt feel greasy, but silky.. it took me a couple tries to get the perfect tiny pearl amount that is suffice for my face. the bottle itself seems great in that it will pump out every last drop..
- there are no directions on the bottle: first put on moisturizer, blot, wait a couple minutes.. then put on the primer.. wait a couple minutes.. then apply your foundation
- overall happy.. but i would have been happier with the primer my sister had, as it filled in my skin a little more..

I have extremely oily skin. This product allows me to go thru the day without having to blot my face. I apply this under my studio fix powder and look fresh all day...I have been using it for 1month and i have noticed that my face is much clear!!!!!!...I love it and cant see myself without it.
