I got this to wear because when I moved to SoCal, my make-up decided to move too... down my face, in the heat.
I put this on in the morning (I nix the moisturizer when I'm using this product), my make-up stays where I put it, all through the day. It doesn't matter what you throw at it, running around at work, on errands, running after the kids. Layer what you will over it, it stays. Foundation, powder, blush, bronzer... it all sticks.
Having sensitive skin, prone to breakouts and redness (i'm over 30), this puts a stop to the embarrassing moments when the make-up starts to slide and blemishes bloom.
If I were on a desert island, these would be one of the things I'd bring.

Brought this about a week ago and it's been working so far...okay. My skin is very oily and when I apply it, it goes on smooth, absorbs great. But only after a few hours the shine starts to be noticeable. It's a good oil absorber but not for long wear use.

Doesn't completely stop the oil, but good enough! Flexible, not sticky. A good primer for under makeup.

I have combo/oily skin and this works like a miracle. It helps control my oily skin and hydrates the rest of my face. It doesn't make my face tight or dry and of course doesn't make my face greasy. It's very lightweight and absorbs quickly, it works great under primer as well. :)

i love love love this moisturizer. I'm extremely oily and wth mostmoisturizers ive tried they have either burned my face, or have just not worked. without this lotion my makeup gets shiny and comes right off.
Since i've gotten this lotion ive noticed a huge difference in my face when i have makeup on. my face says matte longer and im able to go through the day without worrying about powdering my face.

I have oily skin. This product works! It stops my oil production on the face and it leaves a soft matte feel after it dries/absorbs into the skin. Never over dries to a flaky feel, I use it during winter and my skin is perfectly fine. When applying; the texture feels light lotion; not thick nor greasy. You don't notice a smell at all! I would recommend this for oily skin and combination - apply on oily areas. I am on my second bottle. It's prefect to apply after a wash, then prime, and your makeup afterwards. No shine all day; might have a hint of dewy around the evening. You can always use a finish powder to matte it. I luv luv LOVE this product! It saved me from embarrassments of shine. Product last me around 4 - 6 months (depend on usages). My money is worth it!

This OCL is the BOMB!! I don't know why I had not tried it sooner. It works! I use this along with the Prep +Prime Skin Refined Zone. The combination of these two products have made me VERY happy because I now have a shine free face!! I mean the first time I used it, it left me shine free all day! This is my holy grail moisturizer. After years of use, I have grown to love this, it lasts forever, so you definitely get your moneys worth out of this and it's really great for moisturizing before application of foundation. It absorbs quickly and leaves no residue behind. Even on days when I don't feel like applying much/any makeup, I'll use this before I do anything.

This moisturizer is great. I have very oily skin and it can be so discouraging having your makeup begin to melt off because of the oil. I used this once and I can already tell the difference! I put it on before I went to bed and in the morning and wow, my makeup lasted a full day. I am very pleased. The only reason I put 4 stars in stead of 5 is because the bottle is really small for the amount you pay but you only need a small amount because its very light and a little goes a long way. Overall Im so happy I bought it and will be doing so again.

I have super oily skin. It's so oily that in my pictures all you see is shine. I bought this lotion and used it for a week. My skin started to peel around my nose and break out. This lotion does stop the excess oil but it was super drying. I was using this every morning in place of my normal face moisturizer.

I purchased this at the MAC counter and thought it would help with my very oily skin and it only helped about 10% of the oil on my face. It didnt work for me at all, so I ended up returning it for something else.

This product does give great oil control. I have especially oily Asian skin. My nose can be quite the reflective surface. I put this product on at night before I got to bed so it is dries before morning. This doesn't get rid of all oil but it makes your makeup last much longer before you need a touch-up.
However if you are going to apply this product in the morning than make sure you leave ample time for it to dry. If you try to put on your makeup and didn't leave a good decent amount of time for drying then it streaks and you can't blend. If you try to blend your makeup will peel.

let me just start off by saying that my skin is BEYOND oily. By the time the day was over, my face literally looked wet. It was disgusting. I tried this and now my face doesn't get oily at all! It is amazing!! It works wonders! My makeup looks freshly applied. It moisturizes my face too which I like since even though I have oily skin, it dries out quickly too. It didn't dry out my face and kept me looking fresh all day! I am so happy with it and I will be repurchasing this!!

I purchased this because I have really oily skin; especially my nose and chin! But this seems to do the trick I don't have " powder my nose" as much. Although at night I do feel I have mostorize my face. Overall I am happy with this product! Will purchase again :-)

So when I say I have oily skin I MEAN I have redonkulous oil spill oily skin! Gross I know! I used to wear the natural radiance primer alone - it was "supposed" to "control" oil but i guess my oil was too much for it, but with the addition of the oil control lotion it has been phenomenal! I put the Oil Control Lotion first then follow with the natural radiance primer, with that on my face i'm oil/shine free till at least 12:30 thats when i use my MAC blotting powder and I'm GOLDEN TILL 5:30! This has been the only combo that has worked for me!!!

Besides being overpriced I find this a bit mattifying (not in a good sense). I'm mattes down to a point where when I apply my foundation it gets flakey. Later on my oily areas get right back to their regular oily selves. I don't exactly get oil control from this product. More suitable as a "going nowhere" type of lotion
