Great primer

I purchased this years ago because a MAC MUA told me it primes and holds colour better than the primer does. She was absolutely right!! As a hairstylist I find that after doing hair colour on clients my face is a total grease ball by the end of the day. My eyelids don't even budge when I use this as a primer!! So if you're in need a a primer or a good base eyeshadow colour this is perfect. It will last all day long no matter how greasy your eyelids get!

I've been using bare canvas as an eye shadow primer for years. Creates a smooth, crease-free base that lasts all day. I've tried a other primers from competitors, and keep coming back to bare canvas. I LOVE this product.

Great eyeshadow base

Bare Canvas is the perfect color for an eyeshadow base on my NW20/N1 skin. It cancels out any redness on my eyelid while making eyeshadow colors pop and last! Get it. I apply by squeezing out a small amount onto the back of my hand and then using my index finger to apply from lashline to browbone. It blends beautifully and sets in a comfortable amount of time. This tube will last a long time!

I love the paint that I received granted that the bamboom color was a little more plane brown rather than having a pinkish tint to it. But other than that I love them. Very smooth and covers good.

Love it! I have Sublime Nature and it's perfect for a simple, natural eye with a little finishing powder dusted over it to set. For night I like to use it with charcoal brown eyeshadow in the crease, thick brows and black lip mix. Looks great alone but can support a bold look, I plan on buying many more of these!

I know this is supposed to be a primer or base and definitely helps eye shadow colors pop whilst keeping shadows in place all day without creasing, but I use Stilife on its own as an eye shadow everyday on my medium/olive skin!
This goes a long way and usually lasts me well over a year and every time i go back to buy it I always pray they have not discontinued the product.
This is a make up bag staple for me and highly recommend it!

Wow, I bought two colors to try out not sure about which shade I would like and if it would even work as a primer. I only gvae it a chance because of all the awesome reviews. I was a little sceptic but when I got it and tried it, I loved it so much I got online and ordered all the shades right away! THis stuff is amazing! Best thing to happen to me eyes ever! I have alwas had a problem with my eyeshadow creasing thru the day, rubbing off and fading. Not ever lasting thru the day even with eye shadow primers or no matter what eye shadow I used. I have not had that problem ever again since trying MAC Paints. My eyes look wonderful ALL DAY! at the end of the day my eyeshadow still looks exactly like it did when I applied it that morning! Makes my eyeshadow look better too. It's like a magical canvas! I can even use it alone and it gives my eyes that perfect look! Either way, this is wonderful stuff!!!

I tried this paint based on some of the reviews, and I really love it! My eyeshadow tends to crease and my liner has a tendency to transfer to the crease area as well. This product solves all of that. It looks great as well. You only need a tiny amount of it each time you use it, so it will really last a long time too.

Untitled = Perfection

This creates a perfect base, helps shadows pop, and holds shadows in place all day without a crease in sight. I have tried several, but Untitled is my favorite. It's described as shimmer, but the shimmer it's extremely subtle (unlike Stilife, for example, which has noticeable shimmer); the color, to me, is not as much grey as mauve and is almost neutral on my fair skin. I love Untitled as the base for a grey or purple smokey eye. It also is perfect with a little Phloof! highlight for a light, not-too-shimmery eye.
I use Untitled almost every day. With that said, one tube will last me almost a year, and it doesn't dry out. I definitely prefer the tube to the Paint Pot. Yes, when you first get it, some extra product will squeeze out, but it's really not a big deal and you will still have plenty left!

I bought "Bare Canvas" based on a previous review by another MAC Pro who recommended it for a shadow primer and I TOTALLY agree!!! I use my ring finger and lightly pat it around the eye area. It dries quickly and my shadow stays put!!! The color is VERY sheer...almost a nudey, with a slightly irridescent pinkish tone...brightens the eye area too if worn on it's own.

Great as a primer or on its own

This is a great primer for eye shadow and also great worn on its own. My eyelids tend to be oily and most eye shadows don't last well on me - when I use this underneath my eye shadow it keeps the shadow from collecting in the creases and helps it last longer and go on smoother. It does also make the shadow come out looking stronger so when using darker colors just be careful to use less than you would without the primer. It goes on smooth (I use my ring finger to apply it) and I've been using "Untitled" which is a nice light pink and looks nice on its own for daytime wear. The only complaint I have is that it's hard to tell when the cap is on all the way - it just keeps turning and turning. Oh and also that the "Unititled" shade is discontinued :/

I have been using the bamboom paint for years - great product for eyeshadow primer however during the summer months I have to use a secondary primer with the paint because it creases with the heat, overall its a great product that I will always keep with my MAC collection

This is the ONLY product ( longlasting primers, potions, concealers, bases you name I have tried it) that keeps my shadow from creasing, melting, or just disappearing. Love it!

Was looking for something to make the shadow last all day, the associate pointed me to this product. It unfortunately doesn't work very well, especially compared to others out there in the market. I like MAC, but I wouldn't recommend this product.

I bought this paint in the bam boo color at Mac yesterday and LOVE it. It's a great color. I have only worn it as an eye shadow by itself. I love the color it's so pretty! I am a die hard fan of Mac Pain Pots and this is my first actual paint. I will certainly be purchasing more of these. I just wish Mac had more colors.

I was scared of trying the paint at first, because I am still learning how to master the eyes. After the lady at the counter gave me a lesson on it, II can't live without the paint. It is an everyday must-have and makes your shadow stay on beautifully for hours on end.
