So I don't know if I'm just not doing it right (if that's possible) but its a rubber applicator which is weird instead of a sponge eye shadow applicator like normal. I don't feel like it holds the color as well as a sponge tip or eye shadow brush and when you do grab the shadow it tends to clump and when applied it doesn't go on evenly. It seemed great with the rubber applicator because you can re-use with different color after cleaning instead of having a sponge tip. Going to give it a few more tries but not a fan so far...... :(
