I bought this when it first came out. I had really high hopes and couldn't wait to get my hands on them. When it was available that thursday, I went out to the MAC store to purchase this. My first application, I thought it was very hydrating with natural radiance. I am light skin, so the radiance was not as visible. I do like that it is a silky gel emulsion. I didn't think it was great as a primer. It didn't help smooth lines or fill in pores. It was just an ok hydrating moisturizer. I also like the Vitamins E and C with antioxidants.
This will work great on people with pretty skin that needs an ump of "natural radiance." :)

I was excited to try this expecting great results.... ehhh not so much. It was very oily and made my skin feel super greasy was kind of bummed because I do like the effects its gives just cant handle having greasy skin.... :(

Let me just say that almost everything I own is from MAC. This product is not for oily skin! Literally, after putting this product on, within two hours your face will melt. Also, there is a sparkly, glowing effect left on the skin. It looks like your face is glittering. However, if you want to shine and glow like a star then purchase it.

I was really disappointed with this product. It was supposed to control oil but I was blotting all day. I hoped for a matte finish like the Prep+Prime skin refined zone but this product created a dewy finish.

I purchased this Primer because it was supposed to be good for darker skin tones. I'm not saying that it is not, but it did not work for me. I have oily skin and once I started using this Primer, I started to experienc oily skin again, I was recommended to try another Primer and also to get the oil control lotion. I'm sure these products will work for me. Try this if you have dry skin.

I've been using this product for a couple weeks now, and I'm not one to usually use primers, but I have been getting a lot of small bumps on my face since I've been using it. It is very thin also, which can be good I guess, but for me, personally, my skin is not having it. It does help with keeping my makeup stay on longer though. I can tell the difference on how my skin doesn't look so oily later in the day, so thats a plus. But I can only give this a 2 because of the way my skin has been reacting to it. I have normal skin as well, not too oily or dry. I also have light skin, and don't wear a lot of face makeup at all, pretty much just the primer, sometimes the fix+ spray, concealer, bronzer, translucent powder, and blush, but no foundation. I've also heard that this product works well for dark skin, so maybe thats why I don't see a huge difference like a lot of other women do. So if you don't mind getting a few pimples from this product, or you just have awesome skin and wanna check it out, go for it.

Used this primer on an African-American client of mine while working at MAC, and the results were astounding! Paired with the Studiofix foundation (She was an NW44), her skin was luminous, and had such a beautiful, rich glow to it. Without a doubt, this is within my top 5 favorite makeup products. It will transform your skin! I can't wait to use it on another client. It really does yield beautiful results.

Love this product. It is an essential everyday pre-makeup ritual. Allows my make-up to stay clean and put all day long. I highly recommend it as a MUST for every make-up bag.

Great primer

I have been using this primer for about 6 months now and really love it. It makes my foundation stay in good condition on my face for hours, when it sometimes used to slide off. It keeps the oiliness as bay, I still have to powder midday, but it feels like a protective barrier between my skin and my makeup so it doesn't clog my pores. Great product, will continue to buy.

I love this product!! I've been using the prep & prime face protect, but I asked for recommendations at a local MAC and she suggested this. I like to apply it with a 187 brush and let it set for a couple minutes, then apply my foundation. I can really see a big difference and it lasts all day.

Great product. First primer purchase. Would recommend using as a moisturizer with foundation application instead of using this product AND regular moisturizer.
For regular-moderately oily skin types, keeps shine off when used with MAC foundation (I use Match Master in 7.5).
Goes on skin smooth and does not leave residue on fingertips or applicator brush. Best results when worked (rubbed) into skin (as moisturizer). Let dry before applying foundation w/ Fix +.

Defintely best primer I have ever used and trust me I have used about 10-15 different primers. I love the fact this primer is for deeper skin tones. I have a slight tan golden/yellow skin tone. This primer keeps my makeup looks fresh, flawless, controls my oil, evens and smoothes out and gives me a glow. Why I think this is a great primer is mainly because I have fallen asleep with my makeup on and woke up my make up still on and looking flawless.

I LOVE this! I have super oily skin. I’m talking oil slick skin year round. This primer smooths, minimizes my enlarged pores, gives a radiant glow, and most of all makes my makeup stay fresh longer. It cuts the number of times I have to blot in half. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and have bad no adverse skin reactions. Also no silicone type feel, which gets a thumbs up from me.

I love and use almost everything MAC but this one fell short with me. I wish I would have asked to sample before purchasing. I don't feel this adds much luminosity at all. I did a test and put it on one half of my face and honestly there was not a difference.
I guess I like a primer that has a little coverage that evens out skin tone with a thicker base that helps mask pores. This simply felt like a moisturizer to me.

I used it 3 times already and i love it. It looks great with tan and darker skin tones. I even wore this without foundation and it look like i glowed from within. But i like this with Studio Fix Fluid im in NC40. i always clean my face and use the brightening serum before i add my face lotion.then i let it sit and then i put this. i let it dry with it does dry quick, put my foundation and it looked like my own skin i was amazed i kept looking in the mirror!

I have combination skin and this primer did really well with my skin. My makeup didn't start to have that oily look after a couple of hours nor did it seem to come off. I will definitely continue to purchase this primer. If you have oily or combination skin this primer will do wonders for you!

so i have been anti-primer for the face for a really long time only because I've used different brands and prep n prime skin from mac and have ALWAYS broke out. The girl at my counter convinced me to somehow buy this one and try it out. I have to say my skin has been perfectly fine and it was left feeling super super soft!!! give it try ladies-you won't be dissappointed!!!
