Sail La Vie & Salute!

On me {NC40}, Sail La Vie is a nice bright red orange. It's very similar to So Chaud than Russian Red, which I both own. The biggest difference between the 2 (Sail La Vie vs So Chaud) is the finish. Sail La Vie in Satin vs So Chaud in Matte. I wore both shades on the lips (one on the right and another on the left) for a test run at home and they are very, very similar. Almost undetectable. The Satin was just a little easier to apply compared to the Matte but obviously the Matte wore longer. On the other hand, Salute wasn't for me. Although I love Amplified finish, the color is bright but bland on me. But the bigger issue for me is this settled on the lines of my lips, which isn't good. So only Sail La Vie gets to stay with me.

SAIL LA VIE is such an amazing vivd orange color! I love this lipstick on my skin complexion. My skin tone is a deep brown and SAIL LA VIE just stands out! I also use a darker lip pencil (Throw me a Line) and the pencil color blends perfectly for me with the lipstick! Such an amazing color! I will definitely order again!

Sail La Vie is a unique orangey red color, which I was able to preview at my local MAC event. It's a gorgeous shade, which I am in love with and it's perfect for summer. Red Racer is a vivid bright red color which kind of reminds me of Red Russian (maybe it's just my eyes, but I cannot tell the difference between the two). Salute is a nice peach-beige color, perfect for a summer's day. To Catch a Sailor is the frosty version of Salute, though a bit more beige. Sail La Vie is the boldest color of the four and is very hot! There's a shade for every girl/guy in this collection.
