I recommend you only purchase this foundation if you have oily skin. I have dry skin and when I apply this foundation I can instantly feel my skin very dry. I tried applying a bunch of moisturizer on my face before applying the foundation but it still felt dry. It has good coverage, but not for me. I should have read the reviews before purchasing.

I have very oily skin and i wore this foundation for over 12 hours and it still looked good. I didn't want to take it off. I didn't have to touch up my skin. I was practically matte all day; even in the warm humid climate i live in. Best foundation I have ever used.

This foundation is really great! I went out dancing all night with this stuff on and I looked fabulous the entire night, no problems. It blends perfectly into my skin giving me a flawless, even toned look without having the cakey foundation look. It covered all of my blemishes and is very light weight. I haven't been this satisfied with a foundation in a long time. I'm an 8, btw.

This makeup had fantastic extended wear, great coverage, but I found out this isn't right for my skin type as it COMPLETELY dried me out. My partner also tried the makeup on and it instantly dried her face out as well.

If you have oily skin, you will LOVE this foundation!!! I have been searching high and low for that perfect foundation and this truly is the best! I have used drugstore brands, Studio Fix fluid, Mineralize Foundation, and Pro Longwear. This blows all of those out of the water. I never have to worry about what it looks like at the end of the day, and rarely ever have to freshen up. Does not settle in any lines. This stays put and controls my oily face. That being said, you will need a makeup remover.
I use an oil control moisturizer then set it with both the blotting powder and a setting powder. I am in the shade 2 right now and it matches my skin perfectly. That was another issue I ran into with the other foundations, that is, I could never find my perfect shade.
This foundation can be lighter or heavier depending on how you apply it. For a heavier application I use my stippling brush, and for a lighter application, I use a flat top kabuki and buff it in.
I hope this foundation never goes away because I am SOLD!

I have not encountered a liquid foundation I liked in years. I have been living by cream to powder until now. So far so good in these winter months and I'm hopeful about the summer. If you are looking for a product that feels light and offers great coverage with minimal use of the product; this is for you. A little goes a long way and lasts all day.

I don't have a MAC retailer around me so I have to order them, and the color on the website doesn't look anything at all like the color that came. It's two or three shades to dark at least and now I'm out of foundation until I can ship it back and exchange it.

I'm a newbie to MAC first off. I had always bought drugstore foundations looking for the perfect match and it never happened. I was in Dillards yesterday and decided to go by the MAC counter. Am I glad I did!! The girl gave me a sample of this product in shade 1.5. I tried it out today and I absolutely love it. It blended so nicely, matches perfectly, and my freckles are still visible (which was what I wanted). I have very oily skin and I have had no oil problems today. I did use a primer underneath it, bc I have always had issues with my foundation oxidizing. So I'm not sure if that is why it still looks as amazing or not. May try without primer tomorrow. I think I am officially hooked on MAC products now!

I was searching for the liquid foundation and the make up artist suggested this in 5.0 and studio fix applying both on each side...this was a true winner....matched my skintone perfectly....was so light and blended so well giving me the most natural look i have ever got with any foundation...plus the SPF protection helps my skin from the UV rays so no additional sunscreen required....just in love with it...

I just started using this stuff, and I am already hooked. I came in after reading reviews, and the woman who put it on did half matchmaster (in 1.0) and then the other half of my face with her suggestion, the studio sculpt. The matchmaster was a clear winner, it truly had a matte finish while look natural and left my face soft to the touch, while the studio sculpt felt heavy and a little oily to the touch. I have combination skin with occasional breakouts, so I need something that could control oil but not over dry my skin. I had issues with MAC years ago and strayed away from their foundations, but I am very impressed so far and this is definitely my new go-to foundation!

i have tried a ton of foundations from drugstore to high end. I look all over for a foundation and this finally worked for me. It does feels light on your faces but gives medium coverage. I love love love this foundation.

The shade is good (7) but the undertone is a bit off. It is a bit orange on my nc45 skin and the 7.5 is too dark. I guess this one is just a miss for me. I use nc 45 and c7 in studio fix fluid and powder respectively. The texture is a bit chalky on me as well, I guess this foundation was geared towards oily skin.

This foundation was good, don't get me wrong I used the entire thing but it actually made my skin dry. When I would put it on in the morning it looked fantastic but through out the day it got really unconfortable and it started looking scaley around and on my nose. It was a decent foundation. It matched my skin almost perfectly but it got really annoying during the day. I'd say it's a good foundation for if you're going out for 2-3 hours at night.

This was my first purchase for a foundation from MAC. I asked the girl at the counter for something with good coverage but also something that didn't feel like I had a lot of makeup on. This does exactly that! Does wonders for my combination skin. Matches my skin tone very well, and is long lasting. I use it over my prep and prime natural radiance primer and set it with mineral skin finish natural and my skin looks amazing!! Lasts throughout the workday. Highly recommend this product.

So I've used Studio Fix, Studio Sculp and Pro Longwear foundations and I've got to say this one blew the rest of them out of the water!!!! I have a super oily nose, chin, and forehead. I'm talking I could keep an oil company in business if they ran out of oil. Some of the other foundations made claims that they were long-wearing, water based, blah-blah-blah. But this one, whoa!! It says it's demi-matte, but it's matte although not dry looking. I first apply an oil control spray from a different company, then while my face is still wet I apply MAC's strobe liquid (and it dries pretty quick) and then my oil free face primer. I then take a 130 face brush (yes I know it's small but it does the job) and buff it into my skin. I'm a full coverage type of girl so I apply a second layer, but it doesn't feel cakey, or like I have a ton of product on. It feels so light. I then set it with MAC's MSF Natural by getting a small velour puff and patting it on my face rather than buffing it in with a brush so I won't disturb my work, lol. Hope this helps if you're on the fence about this foundation. Just jump on over and get it. It's truly long wearing, natural looking, and doesnt' start slipping or budge and I don't have to powder my nose until late in the day. I apply the foundation at 5:30 am and don't have to blot until about 1 pm.
