I was first sold on M-A-C by the quality and wide selection of shades of lipstick, but this liner was the clincher! Wear it as a crisp classic cat eye, or smudge it for a kohl look.This liner goes on solid, then stays on perfect until you take it off (for 2 days or more if you don't remove it), AND it has a brush applicator, instead of the felt tips that you find every where now. I will never buy another brand of liquid liner again! Please never stop making it!

Greatest liquid liner ever. Everything is absolutely perfect about it. There's only TWO minor problems. The brush that comes with it isn't the best brush (but it's not bad) and it takes a bit to dry.
Other than that, this product is absolutely amazing. Once it dries, it DOESN'T smudge whatsoever, it doesn't fade, doesn't move, doesn't do anything. You can take the hottest shower and it STILL won't come off. You literally have to SCRUBB your face to get the product off.
If anyone is looking for a dark, very, very strong liquid liner that does NOT move, this is the product for you. I recommend using your own brush or a different brush to get a define finish, other then that, product is amazing and a 10/10. Even stronger than the Revlon Colorstay liquidliner.

Definitely recommend this product! My eyelids sweat and I have never been able to keep eyeliner on without it creasing to my upper lid. This stuff is AMAZING. I put it on in the morning and it will literally not come off until I use vaseline on a q-tip. I've tried countless others and this is the winner by far!

Clunky, dried, old...

I bought this and they sent me a clunky, dried, old eyeliner. Right after I opened it, I noticed that it was kind of clunky, but I thought "I'll give it a try anyways". It doesn't last long and flakes off my eyes within a few hours. What a waste of money!!! :(

My eyes are irritated easily and produces oils that smudges my eyeliner and i end up looking like a raccoon. I've tried so many different eyeliners, and so far, this is the one that lasts the longest. It does tend to flake a tad bit when my eyes are irritated but it still wears better than other eyeliners. Only con, its thick and gets caught on to my eyelashes so instead, i use gel liner for my top lids and the this one for my bottom liner. I've been using this for years and plan to continue to. Contemplating trying out the
Superslick eyeliner but im afraid to venture out, so if anyone has tried both this one and that one, please let me know which works better.

This product is my fav, my go to, my savior. I got on line because I am out of Inky, and ink spill, to my surprise I can only order black. I have many colors, and I would be looking to replace those once they go empty. Will some of the colors be coming back?

For over 45 years I have been looking for the perfect eyeliner. My lids are sometimes covered by the skin of my eyebrows and the liner does not duplicate itself on that skin!!!! Also, the brush is perfection and my eyeliner glides on effortlessly,and I have wrinkled eyelids. The line lasts FOREVER, better than anything I have ever used!!!!! I am soooo excited and happy. Now I don't have to tattoo my lids. Thank you MAC. Would love this in other colors, like purple and turquoise.

Out of every MAC product this is probably my top product to write about. The one bad thing about this product is that MAC used to have a whole line of colors in this liner, but they discontinued all of them except this black. I titled this Lifeguard for a reason. I have spent my last 5 summers lifeguarding as well as teaching kids swimming. THIS IS THE ONLY EYELINER I HAVE EVER FOUND TO BE TOTALLY SWIM PROOF. I have gone hours in the pool with this eyeliner and it is the ONLY PRODUCT I HAVE EVER FOUND LIKE IT (and trust me I've looked everywhere) If you want to go to the beach, swim all day and not reapply eyeliner-even after showering off, this is the only product you can depend on. I have spent six hours in a pool getting splashed, going under water and rubbing water out of my eyes, and then gone out straight after without even touching up. This is a MUST for anyone who wants to wear a long lasting ALMOST EVERYTHING PROOF liner. My only problem is none of my other makeup products are quite as water proof so face makeup, mascara and everything else tend to need reapplying. PS to remove slightly oily makeup removers work best. Also if you can't find it in a store, they usually don't have testers out for some reason. Just ask someone who is helping you because they probably have it in a drawer

I used the Liquidlast liner but it was way to dark for me. I wish it would come in different colors. I would say out of all the MAC liners if you want one that will stay all day this is the one. I used the liner when it came in a brown color and it was the best liner I had ever used. I have no lashes so a liner is very important to me. I do not go out of the house without a liner on.

I was introduced to this eyeliner in 2007 and instantly fell in love with its longevity. I love the color intensity as well. I can apply it in the morning and it still looks fresh throughout the evening. After an experiment, I learned that I can wear it for 2 days straight without it fading away. I've gotta say that it was sad to see this product disappear from retail locations, but I'm grateful that I can still find it here.

This is the best eye liner I have used, and I have tried many. It doesn't smudge at the end of the day, and I have oily skin. It glides on well and is a dark black. Other liners come out greyish at times, or not thick enough to look full (needing to re-apply another layer like nail polish). It's worth the money for a great, polished look!

I had to replace my liquid eyeliner a few years ago when they discontinued it. I went though MANY black eyeliners until I found this one and I am very happy with it! It lasts all day, is waterproof, the flexible brush makes it great to apply the way you want it and have more control where it goes.
When it's on, it stays put until you take it off. A tip for easy removal, a little baby oil on a damp tissue. It wipes off with ease! I hope this product is never discontinued!

I had read many reviews of this liquid liner on beauty blogs before purchasing. The very first day I received it, I put it to the test, since I have very oily eyelids and every other liquid liner would eventually smudge on me before 6 hours. I applied it at 5:00pm and slept, showered, and worked 8 hours the following day (i know, not good practice, but like I said, I was testing its staying power)with this applied to my upper lids with absolutely no smudges, smearing, or flaking! I am the type of girl who when I am at work, I don't want to constantly check nor do I have the time to check for smudges. The color dries to a wonderful dark black matte, no grey! Warning, if you do make a mistake, have an oil based remover available. Hands down one of my best makeup purchases from Mac! Please Mac continue this line and bring back other colors

I've been using this eyeliner for almost 4 years now. It never smudges, as long as you don't put it on too much at first. (Once it's all dry, you're good to go!) It gives rather strong and darkest black color to your eye. This one's extra black and I like natural make up so I often use this product only to the ending tip of my eyes where most eye liners (including water proof products) fail and smudge after 3 or 4 hours. I always use the oil-type eye make up remover, otherwise this eyeliner won't get off even after a hot shower. IT REALLY IS WATER-PROOF PRODUCT.

I bought this product because I had never tried liquid liner before and I love it. It doesn't smear throughout the day. It stays fresh looking. I have to scrub with MAC eye makeup remover to get it off. This product is perfect for someone who doesn't like having to always check their makeup.
