I really expected better being a MAC fan. Within days of using this, it turned into this highly sticky gooey consistency. It sticks to my eyelashes, which in turn affects mascara application. Not impressed at all

My eyes water if I yawn, or if the air conditioner is blowing right in them...so I kinda never know when it's going to happen. This eye liner never smudges, once I put it on it's there all day & night...even the next morning if I didn't get around to washing my face before I fall asleep! It's never clumpy and it really does allow you to get a fine point with a crisp line...PERFECTION!!! Not real fond of the brown color though...

Lid keeps splitting

I love this product but the lid keeps breaking. (Top of the screw cap splits then snaps off) This time it was less then a week and already broken. I use the D&D and black and find it works super well for my oily lids and lower lids. I like the applicator sponge and find it is quite easy to use. The ladies at the store told me they were not aware of the packaging issues yet every one of their testers is broken in the same way. I wish the packaging was more reliable as I really like how the product wears.
Bottom line though, until they correct the packaging issue, this product is not worth the money.

Pros:

Not suitable for lower lashes(I usually do upper and lower) as products easily transfer (in mass) to lower lashes and is almost impossible to remove interfering with application of mascara
Not blend-able so mistakes are hard to correct
Dries in a kind of a hard plastic finish that defies removal
I think the best use would be over a liner/shadow that acted as the base and then this as a product adds another dimension.
Honestly I can't find a way to use it alone nor correct mistakes without taking too much time although I've tried!
I would recommend testing it in the store before committing and comparing with Fluidline to find which product gives the effect you want.

I was advised to get this instead of my all time favorite Liquidlast Liner. Have to say compared to Liquidlast this was a disappointment, the formula was more watery and not as creamy. Pigmentation was great though but as i have rather oily monolids, i found it would only leave a vague impression if i were to wet my face and through the day it definitely faded even with primer. Easy application, more easy than liquidlast as the sponge tip is pointy and stiff. All in all not going to buy again, going to have to buy liquidlast liner online from here on out or switch to Lush's eyeliners. I feel if you have double eyelids and are looking for an easy liquid application to get this product - otherwise stick to liquidlast.

i ordered this in pure show, and it is the most pigmented product i have ever tried. i love how i swipe and go, i dont even have to do my eyeshadow, it looks beautiful alone. this is my first mac product, and i definitely like. about it flaking, it barely does, even when i tested it on the back of my hand, it withstood hand cream, hand sanitizer, and 100 degree heat. i would definitely recommend.

This eyeliner is one of my favs! It lasts all day without smudging or leaving lines on my upper lids as MAC's penultimate and all pencil eyeliners do. It can become flaky as others have said, but if you get it on and perfected before it dries completely it will not become flaky. I wish there were more colors! I have worn them with eyeshadows and just alone - they will last all day without a shadow or primer underneath, but worn by themselves is when I tend to see more flakiness at the end of the day. But not so horrible that it would be noticeable to anyone but myself looking closely in a mirror.

I have oily skin and had trouble finding an eyeliner and/or pencil where I would not end up with Alice Cooper eyes at the end of the day. This eyeliner has a super slim brush and goes on very easily and once it dries, stays on all day. I will never use anything else!

i want to love these, but i really miss liquidlast...
The colors of superslick are great and i do love the silver and gold for accents and under eye liner, but superslicks are difficult to use as normal liners. The bottom line is that they flake. The applicator deposits too much product and too much product = flakey product. That being said, I actually really like these when i shake some product out onto my palette and use my 210 brush with them.

I have ridiculously oily eyelids, to the point where it's impossible to wear 99% of eyeliners on the market without creasing. I tried this for the first time about a year and a half ago, and it was the best liquid eyeliner I have ever used. It lasts 12 hours without creasing, I love the intense black colour and the applicator is perfect for my go to winged liner look!

I'm usually extremely satisfied with MAC products, but this eye liner is RIDICULOUS!!! I only bought this eye liner because MAC stopped selling my favorite eye liner (Liquid last). This eye liner won't stay on. It flakes off shortly after applying it. I'm so tired of flakes of eye liner in my eyes. DO NOT buy this product because it is a waste of money!

I have Devices and Desires (or is it Desires and Devices?) and I like it. I've had it for at least four months. I can see how it can flake, as I have experienced it flake once, but other than that one time, it's stayed on very nicely. The color is great, and everyone compliments my eyes when I wear it. I never have any problems with the consistency-- I find it great for precise lines.

I use this product sparingly & apply it at the lash line on top of my shadow (which I've applied as a liner). I find that the liquid needs to be mixed, so I always tap it against my hand several times to get the contents distributed for an even mix. I find that the solids settle if I don't do this & then I get a runny faint colored liquid. For people who complain that the product is runny - I think you'll find it performing better if you put the lid on & mix it when this happens.
My only complaint is that after a few weeks of use, the plastic threaded part of the bottle begins to break, and then it's almost impossible to get a tight seal to keep the contents from drying out.
I'm an athlete - on the water all the time & love how this product stays put!

I normally love mac but this product is a waste of money. You will be better off buying cheap drug store eyeliner. At least if won't flake on your face! AAAhhh.

Dries ever-so quickly, which is good! Unless you make a mistake, very hard to fix since completely dry. But, bold colour (On the Hunt)!
Waterproof, but once again, hard to fix if a mistake is made since it is dry and waterproof!

Product is not consistant with results it promises.
I wanted an eyeliner that was percise, thin to put into my lash line. I was sold this in every promise that it would deliver, this is what u will find.
The "ink" or eyeliner is so thin that its runny. Very hard to work with. Many times I've the pulled the applicator out the bottle and i have not only a mess on the counter but its all over my hands because of how thin the liner is.
Also I have found that u have to work with this products a lot to get the results u want. Seems like sometimes theres to much other times not enough.

This is the best Eye Liner I have ever used liquid or otherwise and I have tried them all from the most expensive to the least expensive. This liner goes on extremely easily and evenly. It doesn't smudge and it has great staying power even in humid conditions and will not smear! The comments I saw on here where some1 said they had trouble with the lid and with the product caking up around the lid making it hard to close; I haven't had alot of trouble with this because: I take care when removing and putting the applicator back in not to leave excess product on the outside where the lid screws on and it can get up in the cap a little and cake up if there's excess product leftover ; so I always take a cutip and clean the lid and outside before screwing back on or a rolled up kleenex and swirl around in the top of the lid will work as well and prevent this problem and protect your product from drying up and problems with the lid coming off and on cracking etc. Also shake the product up at least couple times a week to keep it consistent because it is water based. It is easy to remove when you are ready to remove it , but stays on all day!! Well!! Best Ive ever used!! Wasn't a fan of liquid liner until using this 1

I am a true lover of MAC products. I had a problem with this eyeliner though. It went on very easily, but ended up "flaking off". I had spots of eyeliner on my cheeks by midday. I was very disappointed because I wear charcoal eyeliner and preferably a liquid. I will keep searching!!

This has been the first consistent liquid I have ever owned. It is not made for smudging (not really sure why you'd want to smudge liquid in the first place.) It has great staying power for oily skin and hooded lids. It removes easily and peels off in chunks, which also makes it easy to clean up mistakes because there is no black residue left behind after you brush away the flakes. My only complaint is that it is not ideal for building layers. It will begin to cake if you constantly reapply to make a deep layer. I have used this liner for years and I won't switch because it's the only liner I've tried that is not waterproof, and doesn't smudge on me! I wear it throughout winter, spring, summer (humid southern summers), and fall.
